A yeasty week!

I had quite the yeast filled week! Tuesday involved going to pick up yeast for the beer we brewed on Wednesday. I also baked a king cake for Mardi Gras. Delicious! I love king cakes, so light and fluffy and cream cheese filled! MMMM! I also baked a baguette to go with our wonderful Cajun shrimp dinner!
Wednesday we brewed a stout at the brewery. That's one of the best smelling mashes in brewing. It smells like chocolate and molasses, very tasty. Thursday we brewed a nice Belgian IPA for a firken. It should also be quite tasty! Lambic yeasties always make great beer.
